Introduced by Sen. Bruce Patterson (R) on February 13, 2003, to lower the threshold for drunk driving offenses from a blood-alcohol-content (BAC) of .10 to .08 per 100 milliliters of blood, per 210 liters of breath, or per 67 milliliters of urine; and for impaired driving offences to a BAC of between .5 and .7 grams.

1) Draconian Laws [by Commonsense on June 14, 2004] Since most drunk driving accidents happen at a bac of about .18 or above why did this need to be done? This law is more about generating revenue and giving ignorant people a warm fuzzy feeling. I would rather share the road with someone with a .10 bac that a soccer mom on a cell phone. Reply
