Morris Hood, III (D) on October 7, 2003, to require automobile or home insurance companies to provide annual reports to the state Insurance Commission which contain the number of policies applied for; the number of policies issued, including renewals; the number of policies canceled or nonrenewed; the written premiums, earned premiums, and loss information; and the race and gender of both applicants and insureds. The report would have to break this information down by zip code.
