Introduced by Rep. Joseph Rivet (D) on May 28, 2003, to allow counties adjacent to the Great Lakes to apply for state off road vehicle enforcement grants, and for grants to develop snowmobile safety and education programs. The criteria for grants would be amended to specifically refer to counties which border the Great Lakes.
Referred to the House Conservation and Outdoor Recreation Committee on May 28, 2003.
1) Jim by Anonymous Citizen on October 8, 2003 It would probably a good idea to leave the orv people alone and concentrate on the bicyclers in our state..... I sure see a lot more bikers not following rules of the road and the laws than I do orv people. I really think if the state budget is in the red.... why develop more grants and give more money that we do not have away?? Reply
