Introduced by Rep. RuthAnn Jamnick (D) on January 25, 2001, to allow a township board, in a county with more than 500,000 residents, the authority to unilaterally obtain jurisdiction for maintenance and improvements on any and all parts of the county road system. The township must give proper notice, and would be eligible for reimbursement for any payments made to the county for upkeep on the roads at issue.
