To give $500 annually to high school students who enroll in a program the bill would create to ‘provide resources and programming to pupils…interested in a career in teaching” and who belong to groups that are underrepresented in the teaching profession in this state.” Students would have to attend an annual regional conference to get the money. This is part of a Democratic teacher incentives package comprised of Senate Bills 764 to 782.
