Revise trucking and courier employee status under workers comp law

To revise the criteria by which an individual in the trucking or message courier business is deemed to be an “employee” covered by the workers compensation insurance that employers are required to carry. The revised criteria would include whether the person owns the vehicle used to provide the service, is paid on an hourly or some other basis (such as by the mile), and more.
