2009 Senate Bill 344

Revise moldbuilder's lien law

Introduced in the Senate

March 5, 2009

Introduced by Sen. Jason Allen (R-37)

To revise the law that provides moldbuilders with a lien on the dies, molds, and forms they make, in the amount owed to them by a molder (the person who uses the die, mold, or form to manufacture parts) or by a customer (for whom the molders make the plastic parts), so as to make unenforceable any contract provision that waives a moldbuilder’s rights, and establish that a moldbuilder’s lien attaches from the moment the mold is delivered.
