Authorize “commerce center” subsidies

To authorize the creation of “commerce centers” in cities, villages, and large townships, which would be eligible for state subsidies to “encourage commercial growth and development.” The Department of Energy, Labor and Economic Growth would be required to recommend to the legislature which commerce centers should get subsidies, recommend programs through which they would be provided and how these would be funded, and report on the activities of each.
