To prohibit a sheriff from deferring the acceptance for incarceration in an overcrowded county jail of persons who have been sentenced for second degree home invasion offenses. Under current law, if a jail is overcrowded for more that a certain number of days, the sheriff must delay the incarceration of criminals convicted of certain less serious crimes until the jail is less crowded.
